How AI works Facilitation & communities

What can I learn?

A facilitated board game, devised by DRANE Grand Est and inspired by the Stammtisch tradition of meeting to talk over a topical subject — here, artificial intelligence. Designed for 2 to 6 players or teams with a facilitator, it runs around 50 minutes and is built for classroom use, with junior and intermediate levels.

Core insight

AI literacy can start from conviviality rather than expertise: sitting down together to talk through AI lowers the barrier and makes the subject approachable for learners who would be put off by a technical framing.

How to use it in daily work

A short, sociable, screen-free activity to introduce AI to a group, adaptable from school settings to adult community sessions.

  • Run the game with a youth or adult group to open up AI as a topic for discussion in about an hour.
  • Use the convivial, level-based structure as a model for designing your own light-touch AI conversation activities.

Time

Roughly 50 minutes per session.

Cost

Free (educational resource from DRANE Grand Est).

Prerequisites

A facilitator; designed primarily for classroom use.

Note

French-language game.
